Attracting, developing and retaining talent has never been more important for organizational sustainability. Mentoring can play a key role by leveraging the talent and connections already in an organization to raise the level of organizational and personal success. It is effective at helping newcomers adjust to the organization and avoid the pitfalls of entering an unfamiliar culture, helping individuals identify and pursue a career path within the organization, facilitating adjustment to new assignments, and transferring valuable knowledge. How is it different from what a coach does? What do you have to do to get ready?
